Kansas Senate Expected to Vote on KanCare Expansion

A vote on the bill in a Kansas Senate committee is expected late today (THUR).
A vote on the bill in a Kansas Senate committee is expected late today (THUR).

A key member of a Kansas Senate committee says efforts by Republicans in Congress to stop more states from expanding their Medicaid programs will not affect the progress of the Medicaid expansion bill being considered in Kansas. Senator Barbara Bollier is a Mission Hills Republican.

Bollier says efforts by the Brownback administration to cast doubt on estimates that expansion would more than pay for itself have failed to undermine support for the bill. A vote on the measure in the Kansas Senate Public Health and Welfare Committee is expected today (THUR).
