Many of the state's delegates are committted to other GOP candidates.
Many of the state's delegates are committted to other GOP candidates.

Most of the Kansas delegates to the Republican National Convention are obligated to cast their initial votes for candidates other than Donald Trump but the delegation showing little inclination for a last-minute effort to block Trump's nomination even though most of the state's contingent is bound to other candidates. Senator Pat Roberts of Kansas is in Cleveland for the Republican National Convention and says he is maintaining a positive attitude about the convention and the election ahead.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz won the Kansas caucuses in March, and 24 delegates are bound to vote for him at the convention, nine are committed to Donald Trump. Florida Senator Marco Rubio has six delegates and Ohio Governor John Kasich has one. Most of the Kansas delegates though say they'll support Trump in November, regardless of their current affiliations.
