Kansas Book Festival to Feature KS Authors

The Kansas Book Festival takes place tomorrow (SAT) at the Kansas Museum of History in Topeka. Mary Brownback, the First Lady of Kansas, has been closely involved in planning the event. She says her intention was to create an enduring way to showcase new Kansas authors:

The festival features presentations by authors including Clare Vanderpool, whose book about a 12-year-old Kansas girl won the prestigious Newbery Medal. The program also features book discussions, storytelling, songs, and presentation of the Kansas Notable Book Awards. A complete schedule of events is available online at kansasbookfestival.com.
