The host of a long-running public television program in Kansas is leaving his position. Dave Kendall (KEN-dull), the host of Sunflower Journeys, is saying goodbye to KTWU, Channel 11, in Topeka. As we hear in this guest commentary, his departure from public broadcasting is bittersweet.

Guest Commentator Dave Kendall is the host of public television's Sunflower Journeys. He'll be leaving that position at the end of this month and starting a new venture called Prairie Hollow Productions. Dave Kendall will also be out on the prairie next month, serving as the Master of Ceremonies for the 10th annual Symphony in the Flint Hills.
