Governor Sam Brownback is calling yesterday's (MON) bombings at the Boston Marathon "horrific," saying that he sends his thoughts and prayers to those affected.

Late today (TUE), the White House announced President Obama would cancel a scheduled trip to the University of Kansas on Friday. The president will instead be headed to Boston later this week.
