Flint Hills Summit Aimed at Growing Tourism

A meeting today (TUE) in the Flint Hills is aimed at increasing tourism and economic development in the eastern Kansas area. It’s one of a series of summits hosted by Governor Sam Brownback to look at ways to grow the state’s economy. Brownback pointed to the unique geography and ecosystem of the Flint Hills, and urged those gathered to find ways to promote the area as a tourist destination.

Brownback pointed to the annual Symphony in the Flint Hills as the type of program Kansas should try to promote.
