Federal Judge Rules Against Kansas in Voter Registration Lawsuit

A federal judge has ruled against Kansas in a voter registration lawsuit.  Secretary of State Kris Kobach, who championed the requirement, says he will appeal the judge's injunction in the case.
A federal judge has ruled against Kansas in a voter registration lawsuit. Secretary of State Kris Kobach, who championed the requirement, says he will appeal the judge's injunction in the case.

A federal court says the state of Kansas went too far by requiring people registering to vote at the DMV to prove their citizenship. The document requirement has put thousands of voter registrations on hold. Kansas Public Radio’s Stephen Koranda reports.
