Brownback Says Small Biz Critical for 100k Jobs Goal

(Photo by Stephen Koranda) Governor Sam Brownback says small businesses will be the backbone of his campaign pledge to create 100,000 jobs over the next four years if he’s reelected. Brownback unveiled the proposal earlier this week. He spoke about the plan during a stop today (FRI) in Topeka.

“Three-fourths of Kansans work for small business. I am for big business, too. But if you want to grow your economy, you’ve got to get small business growing,” says Brownback.

Brownback announced today (FRI) that the National Federation of Independent Business is endorsing his reelection campaign. Earlier this week, the Democratic candidate for governor, Paul Davis, announced that the Fraternal Order of Police and Kansas State Firefighters PAC are endorsing his campaign. Also running for governor is Libertarian Keen Umbehr.
