Jackie Stiles, who was born in Kansas City, Kan., and grew up in Claflin, is one of the greatest basketball players in Kansas history. During her career at Claflin High School (1993-1996), she averaged 35.7 points per game. She racked up 3,603 points in high school, making her the all-time scoring leader for boys or girls in Kansas high school history. She also holds the state record for most points scored in a single high school game - 71 points!

Stiles, who played for Missouri State (formerly Southwest Missouri State) in college, is also the all-time leading scorer in NCAA Division I basketball history with 3,393 points. (Yeah, she was that good!)

Jackie Stiles remains the only woman to score more the 1,000 points in a single season. She was one of 11 honorees inducted into the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2007.
