The Retro Cocktail Hour’s Cinema a Go-Go journeys to lost worlds next time, with two movies that share the same title.
In 1951’s Lost Continent,* a military expedition led by Cesar Romero crash lands on a strange uncharted island, a lost world full of prehistoric dinosaurs. And there’s something for everyone in 1968’s Lost Continent, when a tramp steamer gets lost in the Sargasso Sea, which is apparently Grand Central Station for monsters, including killer seaweed, prehistoric sharks, monster crustaceans, a giant octopus plus a bunch of bad-tempered descendants of Spanish Conquistadores. Showtime is 7 p.m.
