Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach has named Wichita businessman Wink Hartman as his running mate in the campaign for governor. Kobach announced the decision at a stop in Topeka Wednesday. He says if elected, he’ll have Hartman use his business experience to audit every state agency.
“An expert who will go in and analyze each of the agencies, spend a month or two in each one and then make recommendations about how to cut the budget of that agency, how to reduce waste in the agency,” Kobach said.
Hartman had also been running for the Republican nomination for governor, but he dropped out last month and endorsed Kobach.
