More fallout today (WED) from an audit critical of the Kansas Bioscience Authority. The audit, released this week, contains revelations Governor Sam Brownback calls "deeply troubling." And now, his office says it's withholding payment of about $22 million in state revenue to the KBA. The money is part of the agency's annual appropriation of $35 million. The funding is used for investing in companies and programs, with the goal of boosting the bioscience industry in Kansas. KPR's Stephen Koranda has been reviewing the audit and files this report.
