Abortion Rights Supporters Rally in KC, Nationwide
LAWRENCE, Kan. (KPR) - Hundreds of people turned out in Kansas City to demonstrate in support of abortion rights. The Kansas City Star reports that about 300 people joined protestors nationwide for the "Bans Off Our Bodies" rally. The rallies were organized nationwide by Planned Parenthood in response to a leaked draft opinion from the U.S. Supreme Court indicating that Roe v. Wade may be overturned.

KU Postpones Commencement Due to Severe Weather
LAWRENCE, Kan. (KPR) - The threat of severe weather led to the University of Kansas rescheduling Sunday's commencement. The traditional walk down the hill and commencement ceremony was scheduled for 10 Sunday morning, but a forecast that included thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds led KU to postpone commencement until 2:30 Sunday afternoon. Severe Kansas Thunderstorms Bring Rain, Strong Winds, Hail
LAWRENCE, Kan. (KPR) - Severe thunderstorms moved across Kansas and into Missouri Sunday morning. The National Weather Service reports torrential rain, wind gusts of 50 to 60 miles per hour, and nickel-sized hail in areas across the state. Several severe thunderstorm warnings were in effect Sunday morning. Most of the eastern half of Kansas, western half of Missouri, and the northern tier of Oklahoma remains under a severe thunderstorm watch until 1 p.m. Sunday.
