U.S. Attorney Stops Cooperating in Probe of Prison Recordings

A federal prosecutor in New York, working on behalf of the U.S. Attorney for Kansas, says there's no evidence that the Sixth Amendment rights of detainees at the Leavenworth Detention Center were violated.
A federal prosecutor in New York, working on behalf of the U.S. Attorney for Kansas, says there's no evidence that the Sixth Amendment rights of detainees at the Leavenworth Detention Center were violated.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Kansas has been under investigation for taping attorney-client meetings and calls at the pretrial detention facility in Leavenworth. As Dan Margolies reports for the Kansas News Service, the U.S. Attorney’s office has stopped cooperating with the investigation.
