GOP Convenes in Wichita to Select Nominee for Special Election

Kansas Republicans will hold their district convention this (THUR) evening in Wichita.
Kansas Republicans will hold their district convention this (THUR) evening in Wichita.

Republican delegates from the 4th Congressional District in south-central Kansas are meeting tonight (THUR) to select their nominee for the April 11 special election.  Reporter Deborah Shaar has more. 


Democrats will hold their district convention Saturday at the Sedgwick County Courthouse. The last special election for a U.S. Senate seat in Kansas was in 1996, when Senator Bob Dole ran for president.
