The price of gas spiked slightly in the summer but Jim Hanni (Haney) of the AAA Auto Club of Kansas says the retail price has gone back down and Kansas drivers are now paying less at the pump than at this time last year.
Kansas average price is at 2.14 a gallon and Hanni says, barring unforeseen weather issues, gas prices should continue to head downward as refiners switch from summer to winter fuel blends.
