The National Weather Service says most parts of central and eastern Kansas received at least some snow from yesterday's (MON) winter weather system. Lawrence, Ottawa and Atchison all received about one to two inches of snow while the western suburbs of Johnson County got as much as three inches. That's according to meteorologist Kris Sanders, who's been collecting snowfall data this (TUE) morning.
For this first day of 2013, the weather service predicts partly sunny skies and a high of 26. Tomorrow (WED) should be a little warmer with mostly sunny skies and a high of 30.
