Federal Inspectors Find New Problems at Osawatomie

An inspection of Osawatomie State Hospital found problems with sanitation, infection control and fire safety. That means the hospital remains will continue to lose about $1 million per month in federal payments.
An inspection of Osawatomie State Hospital found problems with sanitation, infection control and fire safety. That means the hospital remains will continue to lose about $1 million per month in federal payments.

Kansas officials were confident that they had solved the problems at the state’s largest mental health hospital. But new problems have now prompted federal inspectors to demand more changes. Jim McLean of the Kansas News Service reports.
