Food insecurity in Geary and Riley counties is the worst in Kansas, and considerably worse than the national rate. The recently elected congressman for the 1st District, is Roger Marshall, a physician from Great Bend. Marshall told constituents at a town hall meeting that he will protect federal programs that provide assistance for the hungry. From the Kansas News Service, Bryan Thompson has more.
