Mother Earth News Fair in Topeka Features 150 Speakers this Weekend

More than 150 speakers will be at the Kansas Expocentre in Topeka this weekend for the Mother Earth News Fair.  The event is all about sustainable living, with workshops and demonstrations on renewable energy, natural health and organic gardening.  KPR's J. Schafer spoke with one of the featured speakers.  Shawna Coronado is an organic gardener and the author of six books.


That's organic gardener and author Shawna Coronado, one of the speakers at this weekend's Mother Earth News Fair in Topeka.  She was speaking with KPR's J. Schafer.  The fair takes place Saturday and Sunday at the Kansas Expocentre.  Those attending can learn about all kinds of sustainable activities, from making soap or growing food to creating leather goods -- even becoming a beekeeper!

Mother Earth News Fair Opens in Topeka this Weekend

An event in Topeka this weekend is all about sustainability.  Among other things, those attending the  Mother Earth News Fair can learn how to churn butter, make soap and grow and prepare their own food.  Organic gardener and author Shawna Coronado is one of the many speakers.  


The Mother Earth News Fair takes place Saturday and Sunday at the Kansas Expocentre in Topeka.
