Happy 60th, KANU! Part One

From the KANU studios in 1953. (Photo Courtesy of Kenneth Spencer Research Library)KANU first signed on the air on Sept. 15, 1952. We celebrate 60 years of FM broadcasting at the University of Kansas on this week's KPR Presents, as we revisit many of the programs of those early days and hear from some of the people on the air and behind the scenes that helped get KANU off the ground. And be sure to join us the following Sunday, Sept. 23, for Part Two of our 60th anniversary celebration on KPR Presents.

Happy 60th, KANU! Part Two

Kaye starts her weekends the same way you do: with Weekend Edition Saturday, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, This American Life, and To the Best of Our Knowledge. She started at Kansas Public Radio in 2001; in 2006, she became the producer of our weekly public affairs program, KPR Presents. In her spare time, she loves to read, travel, and attend theater.
