Theatre Arts Showcased in Monthly Lawrence Program

A theatre program is following in the footsteps of arts awareness projects like First Fridays in Kansas City and Final Fridays in Lawrence. A group of northeast Kansas theatre professionals has launched a program called Third Thursdays, which invites audiences to witness a live play reading. Christie Dobson is one of the founders:

Tonight's (THUR) Third Thursday reading begins at 7:30 at the Lawrence Percolator, 913 Rhode Island Street. For more information, visit the 3rd Thursday Facebook page.

The number of arts awareness and participation programs in northeast Kansas just keeps growing. Add to the list Third Thursdays, which is centered on theatrical performance and play writing. Producer Christie Dobson says the idea is to let theatre professionals experiment with what they'd like to try next:

Tonight's (THUR) Third Thursday reading is open to the public. It begins at 7:30 at the Lawrence Percolator, 913 Rhode Island Street. For more information, visit the 3rd Thursday Facebook page
