Tax Debate Revolves Around Sales Taxes Vs. Income Taxes

The tax debate in the Statehouse has lawmakers taking positions on a temporary sales tax increase. In 2010, legislators passed a three-year sales tax increase to help the state get through the economic downturn. As KPR’s Stephen Koranda tells us, the argument surrounds whether the sales tax increase should be made permanent.
