Lawrence Meeting Focuses on State Budget Cuts

Advocacy organizations for education and social services are holding a series of meetings to spread the word on how state budget cuts have affected Kansans. Budget deficits in recent years have meant cuts to education and social programs. KPR's Stephen Koranda attended a meeting in Lawrence and has this report.

Other meetings are scheduled for today (THUR) in Pittsburg and later this month in Wichita.

Stephen Koranda is KPR's Statehouse reporter.
