KBI Joins Investigation into Galva Man's Death

GALVA, Kan. (AP) — The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is now helping to look into a suspicious death in central Kansas. State and McPherson County authorities are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a ditch near Galva. The man was identified Tuesday as 39-year-old James E. Croft, who was originally from Portland, Oregon. The sheriff's office says it has developed three people of interest in the case but few other details about the case were released. Croft's body was found Saturday night in a vehicle in a ditch north of Galva. Authorities say Croft was dead when they arrived on Saturday. They say the unspecified injuries weren't vehicle-related.
