Kansas Lawmakers Prepare For Special Session on School Funding

Some lawmakers say the level of funding in the bill for 2018 is less than it was in 2009 and they say it's not likely to satisfy the state Supreme Court.

Now that the veto session is over, Kansas House Minority Leader Jim Ward believes lawmakers will be heading head back to Topeka for a special session this summer to hammer out a constitutionally acceptable school funding formula. Carla Eckels has details.
