A major winter storm is expected to move across Kansas this weekend, dumping up to seven inches of snow in some areas. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for much of the eastern third of the state, with freezing rain, sleet, and wintry mix expected to change over to snow today (SAT). A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow and ice are predicted, which may cause hazardous travel conditions and sporadic power outages.
