Inspectors “Alarmed” by Staffing Shortages at State Mental Health Hospital


Larned State Hospital has suffered high turnover among employees, many of whom have been asked to work 12- or 16-hour shifts. A new report is painting a troubling picture of the Larned State Hospital. Written by a team of inspectors, the report says understaffing is putting patients at the mental-health facility at risk. We get more from Jim McLean of the KHI News Service.
