Hall Center Fellowship Recipient Turns Focus to Walking

Henry Fortunato will give a presentation at the Kansas City Public Library on May 28, 2013 (graphic courtesy of the Kansas City Public Library)

Henry Fortunato (FOR-chu-NAH-toh) is a man who's almost always excited about a new plan. You may know him in his role as the director of public affairs for the  Kansas City Public Library. You might remember him as one of the creators of the popular web feature  "This Week in Kansas History" and kuhistory.com...or as a former Kansas Public Radio commentator. Now, he's taking on another role: he has been awarded the Simons Public Humanities Fellowship at the Hall Center for the Humanities at the University of Kansas. He'll be working with graduate students, doing research and getting ready to launch his latest project...which he described to KPR's Laura Lorson.

Henry Fortunato is the director of public affairs at the Kansas City Public Library. He will be the  Simons Public Humanities Fellow at the Hall Center for the Humanities at the University of Kansas for 2013-14. He's giving a presentation tonight (TUE) at the Kansas City Public Library Plaza Branch, called "A Long and Winding Walk to Wichita." For more information or to reserve a seat, visit kclibrary.org
