Former University of Kansas chancellor Robert Hemenway has passed away. According to the Lawrence Journal-World, Hemenway died Friday night in a Lenexa nursing home of complications from Parkinson's Disease. Hemenway served as the 16th chancellor of KU, retiring in 2009. He is survived by his wife and eight children. A memorial service is planned for Sunday, Aug. 9, at the Dole Institute of Politics.
