Educators Say House Leadership’s School Funding Plan Falls Short

Education experts estimate it would take $500 million to $800 million to adequately fund the state’s schools.

Leadership in the Kansas House is proposing a $75 million increase in funding public schools. But as Sam Zeff of the Kansas News Service explains, many educators and some state representatives say that’s not nearly enough to satisfy a ruling from the state Supreme Court.
