Dems Raise Objection Over Candidate Filing Disagreement

(Photo by Stephen Koranda)There’s a disagreement over a Democratic candidate hoping to run for the Kansas Legislature. Larry Meeker, from Lake Quivira, isn’t on the list of official candidates. Democrats say a mix up at the secretary of state’s office caused him to be rejected. As KPR’s Stephen Koranda reports, Democrats are filing a formal objection over the disagreement.

The State Objections Board will meet Tuesday to consider the complaint, along with several others.

Stephen Koranda is KPR's Statehouse reporter.
