(Photo by Stephen Koranda) NOTE: This story originally aired on National Public Radio's Weekend All Things Considered on 3-16-2014.

But during the first half of the session, lawmakers attracted a lot of national attention over some controversial bills. KPR's Stephen Koranda has this look back at the controversies that marked the first part of the 2014 session.
