Committee Introduces Bill That Could Help Reopen KS Dog, Horse Tracks

It would also make it easier to attract a casino developer to southeast Kansas. Dozens of advocates for the bill descended on the Statehouse yesterday (THUR) to lobby for it. The legislation could face opposition from Governor Same Brownback, who has said he believes lawmakers have enough on their plates and should focus on other issues instead of gaming bills.
