2 Killed, 1 Hurt after 3-Vehicle Collision in Central Kansas

BAVARIA, Kan. (AP) — Two people are dead and a third was wounded after a three-vehicle crash in central Kansas eight miles south of Salina.  The Kansas Highway Patrol says 20-year-old Andrew Wolf, of Ellsworth, was driving east on K-140 (formerly known as old U.S. 40) near the town of Bavaria at 8:02 Monday morning when he crossed the center line and struck a westbound pickup truck driven by 34-year-old Joshua Krone of Brookville.  The patrol says Wolf's vehicle slid backward into the eastbound lane and struck an SUV driven by 40-year-old Jolene Goddard of Brookville.  Wolf and his passenger, 24-year-old Joshua Gepner of McPherson, were killed in the crash, while Goddard was taken to a Salina hospital with injuries.  Those in the pick-up truck were not inured.
