The U.S. military doesn't have enough musicians, specifically buglers, to perform Taps. It's a simple matter of supply and demand. There are more funerals for soldiers, sailors and airmen than there are buglers able to perform the solemn tune. A marine veteran in Wichita has volunteered with a group called Bugles Across America that's trying to fill the gap.
