Conversations: Jenny Sledge, "One Man, Two Guvnors" at University Theatre

On this edition of Conversations, Jenny Sledge joins us to talk about the University Theatre production of One Man, Two Guvnors. She also explains the role played by a dramaturge in putting a production on the stage. The play opens on February 22, and runs through March 3 at the Crafton-Preyer Theatre on the KU Campus.

She discusses what you can see when you visit, and how the center and museum helps educate the public about events not found in traditional history books.

Conversations: Dr. Harry Parker, KU Theatre's production of "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time"

On this edition of Conversations, Harry Parker talks about the University Theatre’s production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Dr. Parker is a KU Alum and the chair of the Texas Christian University Department of Theatre. He returned to KU to serve as a guest director for this production, which is told through the eyes of a young man on the Autism Spectrum.

Conversations: Mary Doveton, October Peformances at Theatre Lawrence

On this edition of Conversations, Mary Doveton, Executive Director of Theatre Lawerence, talks about performances in October. Doveton directed "It Can't Happen Here," which will be presented on Wednesday, October 17. That performance is followed by "Yesterday and Today: An interactive Beatles Experience" on October 29; "Magic and Mystery with Korso" on October 26; and "A Tale of Two Pianists: Anna Han and Chaeyoung Park" on October 27.

Conversations: Theatre Lawrence, Bridges of Madison County

Theatre Lawrence is currently presenting a musical based on the bestselling novel, The Bridges of Madison County. The production runs through October 7th.  On this edition of Conversations, the director of the show, Jack Wright and Theatre Lawrence Executive Director, Mary Doveton talk about the musical and other performances at the theatre.
