It will likely cost more to attend public universities in Kansas next year. Regents institutions, like the University of Kansas, are seeking to increase in-state tuition by 3.6 percent for in-state undergraduate students. The tuition increase would cost most in-state students about $100 more per semester.

The Kansas Board of Regents has appointed Jacqueline Vietti, a retired community college president, to serve as the interim president of Emporia State University until a permanent replacement is found.
