After a series of high profile child abuse and child death cases in Kansas, advocates started pushing state lawmakers to establish independent oversight of the Kansas child welfare agency. So far, that hasn't happened. And, as Madeline Fox with the Kansas News Service reports, the lack of legislative action is starting to worry some child advocates.
