Kansas Election Roundtable – Week 4

Kansas News Service political reporters discuss the week's news ahead of the November election.
Kansas News Service political reporters discuss the week's news ahead of the November election.

The Kansas governor’s race is still neck-and-neck as we head into October. The race for the 2nd Congressional District in the eastern part of the state is a dead heat too, though new revelations that Steve Watkins only worked as a consultant for a company he said he built from scratch could be trouble for the Republican newcomer. Jim McLean and a couple of his Kansas News Service colleagues have been watching for what could start to separate the candidates.

Reporters Stephen Koranda and Madeline Fox joined Jim McLean in the Kansas News Service studio in Topeka. The Kansas News Service is a collaboration covering health, education, and politics, across the state. The team will be tracking developments throughout this general election season.
