A new Kansas governor will be sworn in next week (January 31). Sam Brownback was confirmed yesterday (WED) as a U.S. ambassador for religious freedom. That means Lt. Governor Jeff Colyer will soon take over as the state's chief executive. At the same time, Colyer is running a campaign to be elected governor in his own right. Jim McLean, of the Kansas News Service, gives us an introduction to the man who will serve out the remainder of Brownback's term.
