Mental health centers in Kansas are hoping the state lottery can help make up for years of funding cuts. Center directors want the state to reduce how much it pays lottery winners and use the remaining money to restore funding the centers have lost since 2007. Kessler says the centers are seeking $20 million as part of a comprehensive plan to strengthen mental health services in the state.
