The all-Republican Kansas congressional delegation is almost unanimous in its opposition to a U.S. military action in Syria. U.S. Representatives Kevin Yoder, Lynn Jenkins and Tim Huelskamp are all against use of military force, along with Senators Pat Roberts and Jerry Moran. Roberts says the U.S. does not have enough support from its allies, and that the proposed mission has no clear objective.
Republican Congressman Mike Pompeo of the Kansas 4th District does support military action against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. In an editorial for the Washington Post this week, he said he would approve of a decisive, well-crafted strike.

Only one member of the Kansas congressional delegation supports a military strike in Syria that is being pushed by President Obama’s administration. As KPR’s Stephen Koranda reports, the majority of the all-Republican Kansas delegation is opposed to the plan.
