Congressional Candidate Changes Name to Thomas Jefferson

A candidate in the 4th Congressional District has taken an unusual step in the campaign, by legally changing his name to Thomas Jefferson. The Libertarian Party candidate from Wichita was formerly known as Jack Talbert. He says he made the change because of the inspiration he takes from the founding father.

Financial reform and balancing the budget are two of Jefferson's top priorities. He’s running against incumbent Republican Congressman Mike Pompeo and Democrats Robert Tillman and Esau (EE-saw) Freeman.
