Week of April 14th, 2019: Former U.S. Senator Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), recipient of the 2017 Dole Leadership Prize from the University of Kansas Dole Institute of Politics. As a young senator, Harkin crafted the legislation that would become the landmark ADA, the Americans with Disabilities Act.
