When The Well Runs Dry is a half-hour documentary made by Steve Lerner, a Lawrence, Kansas filmmaker, with award-winning documentary filmmaker Reuben Aaronson, from Los Angeles. The film was funded by a grant from the Kansas Humanities Council. This film tenderly portrays the vital connection that rural Kansans have with water, our most precious resource.
