Kansas Governor Discusses State’s Response to Coronavirus

Governor Laura Kelly’s decision to close all K-12 public and private schools for the remainder of the academic year doesn’t sit well with some Kansans, including some state lawmakers. Neither do some of the Democratic governor’s other executive orders aimed at slowing the spread of the coronavirus. Some have charged that she is overreacting to the pandemic. But in an interview with Jim McLean, of the Kansas News Service, the governor says she's only taking appropriate actions.
