National Park Service Celebrates 100 Years (Don't Overlook Sites in Kansas!)

This year, the National Park Service celebrates a significant birthday: a century of service. While millions will visit the Great Smoky Mountains, Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon this year, Commentator Rex Buchanan says Kansas residents shouldn't overlook some of the lesser-known park service sites right here in their own backyard.

Commentator Rex Buchanan is a writer and traveler. He also serves as director of the Kansas Geological Survey at the University of Kansas.
