Thanks to support from listeners, Kansas Public Radio raised more than $336,000 during its spring membership drive. The campaign began on Friday, April 9, with the Power Breakfast, 90 minutes of fundraising that brought in more than $20,000 and concluded on Friday, April 15, at 6 p.m. In addition to listener pledges, KPR received more than $70,000 in challenge grants, which are provided by individuals that challenge listeners to match their gift within a certain timeframe. Membership donations directly support KPR's local and national programming, and listener support is KPR's largest single source of income. Kansas Public Radio received the largest budget cut in the history of the station this fiscal year, making member support more important than ever. If you meant to make a pledge but missed your chance, you can contribute online anytime. Thanks for your generosity!
