U.S. House Passes Bill Mandating Universal Background Checks on Gun Sales

The U.S. House of Representatives has voted to require background checks on all gun sales.
The U.S. House of Representatives has voted to require background checks on all gun sales.

The U.S. House of Representatives has passed a bill that would require background checks on all gun sales. As Chris Haxel reports for the Kansas News Service, it’s the first major gun bill passed by that chamber since 1994.
